Racing Conditions
Kilifi Creek opens onto the Indian Ocean, giving the fleet flat water inside the creek and a building breeze once you're out past the mouth. The Race Area is about 2km to the south of the Creek, on the open ocean but inside the coral reef.
- Racing is on the Indian Ocean, with seasonal "Kaskazi" tradewinds from the north, bringing excellent, consistent racing conditions daily.
- The boat park is in a large secure garden in the hotel grounds.
- Launching is easy from a well-sheltered sandy beach.

The Race Area
The racing takes place to the south of Kilifi Creek and to the north of Takaungu Creek, on the open ocean off the Outfall - shown here on the Garmin chart of the creek mouth and coastline.

The Boat Park
Containers will be delivered to the secure area behind the hotel. The Boat Park will be here, with temporary boat parking on the sheltered beach.

On the Water
We will have snacks available for before and after racing, or to take out to the water. Please bring your drinking water bottles for sailing, as hydration is essential. Out past the creek mouth the Kaskazi wind builds.
